Studio Policies
- Payment is done via credit card. This will happen on the 1st of the month.
- Payment is the same every month regardless of how many lessons attended. Parents are responsible for payment for any lesson missed. Exception: extended illness or if I cancel a lesson.
- Students are expected to practice their required amount, complete their theory assignments, and complete their technique assignments on a consistent basis. If a student has 6 weeks of practice in which they fail to complete any of these 3 items, they will be will be dismissed from the studio.
- Administrative Fee: $15 due in September. This helps cover many of the operating costs that I incur during the school year, i.e. assignment sheets, music for festivals and recitals, notebooks, candy, etc., etc.
- Parents may reschedule lessons by looking at the schedule and phone list on the student page and making the necessary change. Once the schedule has been set, it is the parents' responsibility to make these changes.
- All students will participate in the Sonatina Festival, and one spring festivals. See the events page for more details.
- All students will participate and perform one or two pieces at the end-of-the-year recital. See the events page for date and location.
- Parents of younger students are encouraged to stay during the lesson time.
- Summer lessons are optional, but students will be required to take two lessons during the summer months to secure their spot for the fall.
- Missed lessons in May cannot be made up in June. Pre-knowledge of a missed lesson in September cannot be made up in August.
- There are no make-up lessons and no refunds unless the missed lesson is my fault.
